| Why Like |
Common Buckthorn was introduced to North America as an ornamental tree in the early 1800s, but it has invasively naturalized into much of the northeast and midwest US. It is a tolerant tree once used as a hedge, privacy screen, and windbreak. Birds love the fruit. Long spiky thorns! |
