Riverbank Grape (Vitis riparia) VY-tiss riparia

Family Vitaceae
Why Like This wood perennial vine can climb up to 50 feet into trees, and in places lead to dangling vines a grown-up can swing on. Grapes are eaten by many animals and birds, and are pretty tasty for adults, too, though smaller than what you get in the grocery store. Many cultivated grapes are grafted to Vitis riparia rootstock.
